 Description

Perennial. Leaf-blade flat or involute. Inflorescence a lax or contracted panicle. Spikelets ± compressed dorsally. Glumes subequal, 3–5-nerved. Lemma obscurely 3–5-nerved, coriaceous or membranous, with a caducous terminal awn. Palea ⊬ lemma but narrower. Callus very small. Stamens 3.
