Recognition
  • an erect shrub or tree, up to 7 m high, with hairy stems.
  • its leaves are 30-80 mm long, narrow, and glabrous when mature,
  • its inflorescence is a dense terminal raceme with numerous flowers,
  • its flower petals are orange-yellow, usually with reddish markings, and 10-15 mm long.
  • its pod is densely hairy, very hard, 13-17 mm long, and has 6-8 reddish black seeds.
