 Recognition
  • a perennial herbaceous plant with upright or spreading stems to 60 cm high.
  • its leaves are opposite, mostly hairless, rounded, up to 12 cm long, and the margin is toothed.
  • its flowers are solitary in the axils of the upper leaves, and the corolla is 3-4.5 cm long, yellow and with red dots in the throat.
  • its capsule is 10 cm long and contains numerous very small seeds.
