Recognition

  • its leaves up to 12 cm long, entire, and hairless above and hairy beneath.
  • its inflorescence is fleshy, has rusty hairs, and encloses numerous small flowers.
  • its fruit is large (1.2-2 cm across), yellow to red, and contains numerous seeds about 1.5 mm long.
