Scientific Name:
Pectinopitys C.N.Page, New Zealand J. Bot. 57: 141 (2019)
Etymology:
Pectinopitys derives from the strongly regimented arrangement of leaves into one plane, seen on most lateral shoots across this genus, reflecting this characteristically pectinate (‘comb-like’ or ‘eyelash-like’) regimented arrangement as the most striking feature of all main vegetative parts this genus. [These features contrast strongly with those of Prumnopitys s.s.].
