Recognition
  • a very large evergreen tree up to 30 m high with bark peeling in strips to expose a greyish-white surface.
  • its juvenile leaves are opposite for a few pairs and the adult leaves alternate, narrow, leathery, and slightly curved.
  • its inflorescence is in the leaf axils and has 7-15 white flowers.
  • its fruit is 0.7-1 cm long and woody.
