 Recognition
  • a large evergreen tree up to 10 m high with a well-developed trunk and drooping branchlets.
  • its leaves are opposite, simple, glossy, leathery, dark green, and 4–8 cm long.
  • its flowers are in clusters of 3-25 and white.
  • its dark pink to red fruits are about 2 cm long and contain a single large seed.
