 Description

Glabrous shrub, 1–3 m high. Lvs opposite, sessile, 1.5–3 cm long, linear-triquetrous, at least when dry, prominently glandular; apex hooked. Fls in terminal corymbs. Hypanthium 5–6 mm long, turbinate, prominently glandular; lobes very broad, shallow and rounded. Petals 5–6 mm diam., orbicular, pink or white. Stamens much < petals. Ovary apex dark red. Style c. 5 mm long, with plumose ring below stigma. Fr. not seen.
