 Description

Young stems moderately thick (2.5–3.5 mm), light brown, with a moderate cover of short, appressed hairs, internodes 2.5–5 mm, node buttresses usually lunate, sometimes elongate. Older stems moderately thick (to 6 mm), 10–50 cm long. Leaves usually elliptic, sometimes ovate, slightly keeled, with sparse, short, white to dull-white abaxial hairs on margins, mid-veins and tips. Fruits orange or red.
