 Description

Slender lax tufts with culms (4.5)–6.5–12–(30) cm. Leaf-sheath glabrous. Ligule 1–1.3 mm. Leaf-blade 4–12–(16) cm, flaccid, soft, flat to folded. Panicle 3–5.5–(8) cm. Spikelets 4.5–8 mm. Glumes subequal, oblong-elliptic, acute; lower 3.5–5 mm, upper 4–5.5 mm. Lemma 4–5.5 mm, oblong-elliptic, acute; midnerve occasionally very shortly excurrent. Palea 3–4.5 mm. Anthers 0.4–0.7 mm. 2n= 28.
