 Description

Small tufts with close-packed culms 2–10 cm. Leaf-sheath glabrous. Ligule 0.3–1 mm. Leaf-blade 2–5 cm, stiff, inrolled. Panicle 1.5–5 cm. Spikelets 4.5–6.5 mm. Glumes unequal, elliptic-ovate, acute to subacute; lower 3–4 mm, upper 4–4.5 mm. Lemma 4–4.5 mm, elliptic-ovate, subacute to acute; midnerve occasionally very slightly excurrent. Palea 3–4 mm. Anthers 0.3–0.4 mm. 2n= 28.
