 Description

Shrub up to c. 5 m. tall; branches slender, ascending to spreading, bark dark brown; branchlets pale brown, glab. Lvs ± distant, becoming patent, coriac., glab., sts subwhorled, paler below, subsessile; 7–12 × 1·5–3 mm., narrow-lanceolate acute to subacute; midrib us. distinct; margins recurved, ciliolate. Racemes terminal, c. 10–25 mm. long 8–16-fld; axis and pedicels pubescent. Bracts oblong, caducous; fls c. 4–5 mm. long; calyx-lobes oblong, obtuse, ciliolate. Corolla reddish, patent. Capsule ± 2.5 mm. diam., locules 5–(3).
