 Description

Fls small, panicled. Calyx-tube or receptacle turbinate, adnate to ovary; lobes 5–6, deciduous. Petals 5–6, inserted under margin of epig. disk, valvate. Stamens 5–6 alt. with petals; filaments short. Ovary half-inferior, 3–5-celled; stigma capitate; ovules ∞. Fr. globose, ind.; seeds ∞, small, axile, pend. Shrubs or small trees with alt., exstipulate lvs.
